Lead Officiant

Evan is the owner of MBE and our lead officiant. He is passionate about successful marriages and about working with couples to help them achieve their own. Evan has been blessed to have been married to his high school sweetheart, Meiche, for over 30 years. Together they have (4) beautiful and amazingly talented daughters, (3) amazing son-in-laws and (6) of the most adorable grandkids you may ever meet. Evan has been an ordained and licensed pastor and wedding officiant for over 16 years and has performed over 2,800 weddings for some of the most awesome couples in Hampton Roads, the OBX and beyond.

HECTOR CRUZ

Associate Officiant

Hector has more than two decades of ministry/pastoral experience in the Tidewater area and has been ordained and licensed to perform weddings since 2002. He has a gift and passion for leading and serving people. He has completed a certificate in graduate studies, as well as a graduate & undergrad degree from Regent University in VB, where he currently works. He and his wife, Sonya (a longtime 1st grade teacher in Chesapeake), are the proud parents of three beautiful, talented daughters and reside in Chesapeake. In his free time, Hector can be found DJing or Karaoking at parties and weddings along with his wife.
